Our Chapter has many committees that are responsible for various activities.

Most members belong to at least one committee.  We believe that each member only participates
in whichever way she is able and to the degree to which she feels comfortable.

Adopted School – sends parcels 4 times a year to our school in Black Tickle, Labrador.

C.A.C. - Consumer Awareness Canada, shares interesting consumer news

Citizenship– Supports local events such as Terry Fox Run, attends citizenship court and promotes good citizenship.  All members report volunteer hours devoted to IODE.

Education– Selects recipients and distributes bursaries and awards to local elementary and secondary students.

Flower Fund– sends flowers and our thoughts to members and thanks to others.

Hospitality– coordinates our meeting snack, the June Potluck, and the Christmas meal.

Membership– promotes our club within the community.  Assists with local conferences.

Post War– visits our local veterans and provides small gifts of appreciation.

Services - visits our local nursing homes for monthly birthday parties, organizes the special goodies bags and back packs for the Women’s Interval Home, assists with elementary school snack program and knits hundreds of articles for shipments to Northern Ontario and distribution to local agencies.

Standard Bearer– brings our flags to meetings and special functions.

Special Committees are formed for our fundraising events in which most members help.

*  At year’s end, the chair of the committee submits an annual report to the provincial level.
